This international Telecoms group are a leading pan- European services delivery partner who offer high value mission critical solutions to the fixed and mobile carrier and enterprise market sectors.

They specialise in the design, build, supply, management and in-life support of telecommunications networks to Network Service Partners, carriers, network equipment vendors, public sector organisations and premier enterprise partners.

They now seek to recruit a Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) Manager with experience within the Telecommunications sector. You will be accountable for the delivery of SHEQ advice and support to Operations, liaise and assist all stakeholders to ensure compliance with SHEQ legal obligations and follow their defined Quality systems.

Main Responsibilities:

Principle accountabilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

Implementation, management and monitoring of standards including BS OHSAS 18001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and Safecontractor.

Under the direction of the Group Operations Director, deliver strategic goals for SHEQ through the support and application of SHEQ programmes aligned to the companies' strategic objectives.

Promote the company's vision and values to internal and external stakeholders for SHEQ.

Ensure compliance with all legislation regarding SHEQ is maintained.

Drive to deliver continual improvements across the company with direction from Group Operations Director.

Ensure the SHEQ procedures are implemented to allow all relevant legislation to be complied with.

Provide support and advice to any part of the business on SHEQ issues as deemed necessary, and to ensure that our SHEQ policies and any local guidance are fully aligned, in order that no conflict or confusion exists.

Ensure all accidents, incidents and near misses are correctly reported and investigated in accordance with the SHEQ policies and procedures.

Ensure all SHEQ lessons learnt are documented and communicated.

Ensure that all SHEQ reporting requirements are provided accurately and in a timely manner.

Conduct site safety inspections and audits as required and ensure that appropriate action plans have been put into place by the assigned owners.

Conduct regular reviews on corrective actions arising from incidents, inspections and audits.

Support internal and external SHEQ audit programmes.
