Vendor Manager - ICT Testing


Based in Berkshire

We have a great opportunity to work for a major telco client in their CIO area as one of their Vendor Managers. In this role you will be working in a small team reporting into the Senior Vendor Manager, and will be playing a key role on ICT Testing projects.

Your role will be to support the efficient and effective vendor management processes through monitoring contract compliance, vendor performance and data analysis to benefit validation. You will be first point of contact for daily progress and issues, and will support your vendor management in their accountabilities.

For this role you will need to have sufficient technical knowledge of the ICT Testing domain so you are able to review vendor SOW's and Solutions in line with contractual obligations.

* Operational experience in the ICT Testing domain
* Demonstrable experience of managing outsourced suppliers performance
* A solid understanding of SDLC (Software Delivery Lifecycle)
* Attitude & Behaviour - An ability to stand firm with the vendor, but maintain and foster the relationship.
* Some previous Vendor Management experience ideally
* Telco not essential, but must have working in a similar IT environment

Financial Management - Maintain Purchase order management against vendor and track / review vendor burn rate against these, highlighting issues to the Vendor Manager and / or wider teams.

Liaison with finance, procurement, technical delivery and all related internal teams playing a part in the end to end delivery of change and payment of services

Providing Insight - Provision of insight for the business on vendor and function performance against history and in comparison to best practice - specifically aligning with other functions on internal reporting requirement of vendor performance and provision of such information on the agreed regular basis

Make recommendations to Vendor Managers for changes and/or updates to Vendor Management processes.
