All of the technological products are built and maintained by the in house development team, utilising all of the latest technologies. Our client pride ourselves on both the quality of their products and services as well as the way we in which they develop their staff.

Our client offers a graduate training programme for budding software engineers that are looking for the right environment to hone the raw skills built up during a successful period at University. The 2 year training programme will take graduate software engineers through a development path that has already produced many top class software engineers.

Job description
As part of the graduate training programme, the Junior Software Engineer will be required to assist with development of new software products and support of existing software. Reporting directly in to a senior software engineer, the junior software engineer will work as part of the IT Support and Development team.

• Writing C# code extensions
• Developing SQL stored procedures and triggers
• Table and View maintenance
• Testing and quality control of your own code
• Participating in peer reviews of other developer's code and SQL
• Supporting the application (2nd and 3rd line support)
• Participating in the development team support of our network and infrastructure as required
• Documentation of code and SQL etc. to maintain good development practices
• Participate in daily Agile SCRUM
• Working with clients and collaborating with other IT staff as required
• Planning and implementing future IT developments and undertaking project work
• Willingness to provide occasional out of hours support
• Continue to stay up to date with the latest technological developments

Minimum Knowledge, Competencies & Qualifications:
• At least a 2.1 from a top university in a Computer Science/Software Engineering related degree
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Must possess some or all of the technical skills listed below:
o Microsoft Visual Studio
o Microsoft SQL Server
o Microsoft C#
o Microsoft .Net 4.0 or above

o Javascript

• Dedicated training budget per annum
• £25,000 per annum
• Bonus of up to 10% of salary based on achievement of KPI's and company performance
