An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Digital Portfolio Manager to work within Central Government on a contract basis. This position is based in Warrington, initially until April 2017 offering up to £450 per day ltd.|
The Technology Design Authority (TDA) Governance Board is the authorising body that provides architectural governance and assurance that solution designs align with the Technology Code of Practice, the Digital Blueprint, architectural frameworks and standards. It also formally agrees what the standards are for solutions to meet.
The successful candidate will contribute to the development and application of a systematic management framework to define and deliver on-going services, in support of specific TDA strategies and objectives.
Providing input into the implementation of a strategic decision making process based on a clear understanding of desired outcomes, inter-dependencies and impact on existing governance, enabling measurement and objective evaluation of potential changes.
Leading the regular review of the TDA governance framework, performing on-going monitoring and review.
Driving delivery of Management Dashboards e.g. monthly KPI reporting.
Portfolio horizon scanning and forward look management.
Portfolio management and reporting for the Technology Design Function.
Meeting management e.g. minute taking and logistics.
Proactive management of the TDA Decision and Action logs.
Stakeholder engagement across Technology to ensure joined up working as One DWP.
Provide knowledge, information and data to Governance forums to allow Senior Management to take corrective action.
Contribute to wider Technology Strategic Goals, supporting the development of Digital technologies and GDS development methodologies where appropriate.
Lead and support staff engagement activities and take an active role in developing the capability of Technology through excellent communications to support TDA.
Effective interpersonal skills, strong at working collaboratively across multiple teams.
Proven successful Delivery Management and/or PMO background with effective analytical skills, turning data into information.
Awareness of Agile project methodology
