This will be a varied role where your time will be split between providing onsite installation services and business critical helpdesk support for some of their high profile customers throughout the central belt. You will be required to support entire infrastructure estates encompassing desktop, servers, networks, and vendor specific hardware and software. Alongside this you will get the opportunity to work on a range of highly technical projects that will push your technical boundaries and will allow you to challenge yourself and expand your technical remit.
This role will require some travel to client sites throughout the central belt, so you will need to have a full/ valid driving license. A van will be included at no expense to the successful candidate.
**Responsible for the resolution of both 2nd and 3rd line requests within agreed SLAs
** Responsible for managing specific IT projects, and implementation of a variety of IT systems, including desktop, server and network environments
** Managing and maintaining client relationships, providing customer service and building a good knowledge of customers IT environments, to ensure you can fully consult with client's regarding their technical requirements
** Completing tasks efficiently, and in a timely manner, and communicating progress regarding requests both internally and to the customer to ensure everyone is kept up to date.
**Ensuring maximum uptime for customer IT systems, within agree SLAs
Technical Skill set:
** Hardware Builds /Desktop Installations
** Windows desktop operating systems Windows 7,8
** Installation, support of Windows Server 2008, 2012
** Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 2010. 2013
** Good working knowledge of virtual environments- VMware
** Network Support - WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security
** Experience of supporting end users, face to face, via phone and other remote access methods
** Certification such as MCP or a degree within an IT discipline would be a distinct advantage
** Valid UK driving licence
