We are currently working with an impressive Technology company based in Cambridge who have a requirement for an Engineering Project Manager to join their busy and expanding team. This role will require a self-starter who has the ability to oversee multiple Hi-tech projects, collaborating with customers, partner companies and a team of leading in-house experts. |
The company are a leading developer of Industrial Inkjet Software, Drive Electronics, Components and Systems. Their products drive thousands of Printheads and Scanning Systems all over the world. The purpose of this role is to assist the Programme Manager with a Portfolio of R&D Projects with varying durations from 3 Months to 2 Years. These would include Hardware, Software and Embedded Logic as such, knowledge within each of these disciplines would be required.
With many duties and responsibilities this role will take charge of driving product development from requirement capture to delivery and into an in-life continuous engineering support phase. Consideration must be given to all aspects of project outputs including Manufacture, Test, Training, Support and Documentation. Working to ever changing timescales the ability to re-prioritise accordingly is essential. Communication with all parties to ensure successful delivery of products to volume sale. Due to the nature of this role, there will be some presenting of information and progress to customers and report writing for delivery within set meetings.
In order to be considered for this role, we require an experienced Commercial Project Manager from an R&D environment within Technical Manufacturing. A qualification within a relevant Engineering Subject would also be desirable. It is not essential that candidates are from an Inkjet Background whoever some knowledge of the industry would be helpful. The ability to grasp complex technical issues with a high level of resolve is required along with experience of Electronic Hardware Development.
In terms of the right person for the role; this position will suit an organised, effective Technology Professional who is seeking a role within a collaborative environment. Excellent people and effective communication skills are required along with a passion for attention to detail. This role offers some opportunity to travel, however is predominantly office based within the company's impressive facility in Cambridge.
