The responsibilities of the position require a broad background in waterfront repair along with an understanding of multi-trade interfacing and integrated work scheduling in order to ascertain those encumbrances which impact maintenance.|
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Coordinate the advance planning effort for all work, IMMPS, alterations, and selected periodic maintenance Requirements (PMR), in the Master Job Catalog (MJC), including operation of the PMR scheduling in conjunction with Annual Records and Retention Service (ARRS).
• Candidates must possess the skill to work effectively with management and working levels of all divisions and departments at the Naval Submarine Support Facility (NSSF), and with fleet activities.
• Candidates must possess knowledge of Critical Path Methodology (CPM) including concepts such as total float, early and late start/finish, and how those elements are calculated and applied to a viable schedule.
• The Advanced Planner must be able to progress the integrated schedule and communicate schedule status as well as recommend solutions for maintaining or recovering progress to schedule.
