The Sonar Hull Arrays team is responsible for the development, qualification, integration and testing of contractor furnished and government furnished arrays and sensors on all classes of submarines.|
Sonar Hull Arrays/Systems (C4ISR Systems Integration and Engineering D442) requires engineers to assist in System Engineering efforts related to contractor furnished Sonar systems including Large Vertical Array (LVA), Light Weight Wide Aperture Array (LWWAA) and High Frequency Chin Array (HFCA) as well as Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) Sonar sensors, arrays and components.
This position will require that the engineer perform technology investigations, trade-studies, identify/resolve risks, identify opportunities for cost reductions, and validate methods to ensure producible end products.
The candidate will also be required to interface with NAVSEA, Government vendors and other EB Departments. Successful applicant will be required to assist in the System Engineering efforts ranging from initial system design through development, hardware/software integration, component qualification, test, construction support, delivery and post-delivery support to include analysis and resolution of fleet identified problems, assessment of obsolescence issues, and identification of components for technical refresh.
