Field Support Engineer Field Based, ANPR experience South of birmingham M25 25000 Hours of work: 8 hour NA (subject to change) - 09:00 to 17:00 (including total of an hour in breaks).The position calls for overtime to be worked when NA regard to the commissioning element of the job, hours can be long and it is expected that overtime will be worked to ensure the system is delivered on time for the client.A flexible approach to hours of work is essentialThe position calls for the individual to be included on a standby team rota covering out of hours and weekends as experience allows. Experience required: Ideally the candidate will have the following skills:- . Experience with electrical systems and ideally have an electrical qualification such as City and Guilds 2330 and NVQ 3 or NA and Guilds 2391 Test and inspection of electrical systems is desirableUnderstanding of ANPR technology is desirableExperience with mechanical assemblies of a "process" nature, e.g. as utilised in ticketing mechanisms (e.g. train, bus, airlines, parking, events, etc ticket issuing/reading units).Ability to recognise worn or malfunctioning partsA good aptitude for fault finding with a logical and methodical NA with note and coin NA proficient in PC and networking environments and an understanding of Linux and Windows based systems would be NA to use general Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook etc..)Ability to work on own initiative and also be able to work effectively as part of a team, fitting in well with other team members is very NA able to work in a pressured, client controlled NA prepared to spend a considerable amount of time NA prepared to work away should this be NA a courteous manner and ability to communicate clearly with all levels of client staff (managers to site attendants).Ability to liaise well with the public and when required offer advice and defuse tense situationsFull, clean UK drivers licence. Key Tasks: Supervising and organising on site engineersInternal maintenance of the machinery - strip and clean assemblies using cards/ear buds coated with cleaning spirits; clearing ticket/coin/note debris/residue; inspection of running gear (rollers/gears/etc); clearing jammed mechanisms; replacing parts as required; NA required response times as detailed in NA back to client and service desk on completion of NA feedback sheet with accurate, clear and concise information on NA of spare NA, replacement and setting up of ANPR Cameras and associated equipmentTo retain full drivers licence. Must have worked with ANPR and have good software experience
