Overview Experienced Tooling Engineer required to Support the development, procurement and introduction of new tooling into West Midlands site, also supporting Customer Engineering Change Requests, SMED Activity Improvements, cost down improvements & existing Tooling issues within Plant when NA Tasks/ResponsibilitiesThis will include but are not limited to:Lead New Tooling procurementReview and complete component feasibility with regards to tooling processes'A Layout reviewsTooling design reviewsLead tool design approvalTooling supplier monitoring and liaisonReporting tooling & project statusConduct TB01 and TB02 tooling buy off activitySupport introduction of new tooling into Plant/ProductionEnsure tooling standards are adhered toIdentify and schedule improvement opportunitiesLead or support Engineering Changes to Die ToolingIn Plant support when requiredEssential Skills, Qualifications, Competencies and Experience RequiredHNC/Degree or equivalent in an Engineering DisciplineTo have served a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship as a Toolmaker or NA of working autonomously with objectives being set by the Senior Stamping NA to develop and successfully achieve project timing NA skill level capable of communicating at all NA computer literacy with a working knowledge of all relevant software packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and NA literate, including Microsoft Office and SAP working knowledge, together with good verbal and numerical aptitudePossess the ability to lead and motivate a team of people to bring out the best in themDemonstrates a positive attitude towards change, with a willingness to be flexible and adapt to new circumstances.A proven background of leadership abilities combined Tooling Experience including implementation with excellent communication and interpersonal NA to plan and manage resources & self to achieve objectives and priorities despite conflicting agendas and multiple NA to plan and manage resources & self to achieve objectives and priorities despite conflicting agendas and multiple NA be committed to ensuring that Health & Safety is of paramount NA an analytical approach to problem solving while offering original and practical solutions that challenge fixed NA seek to take responsibility for their own development without reliance upon others with regard to the knowledge required to perform fully and NA Skills, Qualifications and Experience RequiredA general knowledge of AutoCAD, Catia and other tooling development software is NA licenseSpecial requirementsBased in West Midlands but will be required to travel Abroad to support New Tooling Buyoff / design reviews; driving licence preferredHours/Shifts 38 hours basic. Monday - Friday, overtime and weekend working when required.
