Technical Support Assistant Our client is recruiting for a Technical Support Assistant for their busy technical and service team for a company who install, service and maintain commercial laundry equipment. Job Role You will be the first point of call for customers calling in with issues and giving technical support to find out if an engineer is needed to go on site or if communication and problem solving over the phone can solve the issue. You will also be expected to; Create technical documents, power-point presentations, organise and keep their technical library up to date, create supporting documentation for engineers and customersWill be expected to visit customer sites and help to resolve laundry equipment issues also to support their engineering team on problematic issuesTo assist the engineering team on commercial installations, which would involve occasional overnight stays Candidate Attributes Great communication skillsEngagement with customers to find out the information required to helpGood computer skillsGood practical experience working with electro mechanical machinery (ideally laundry equipment)Have a good understanding of electrical circuitsPractical skills working with tools and mechanical components on machinery This role is based in Newbury and working 8.30am-5.00pm Mon-Thurs with a 4.30pm finish on Fridays. You will get a 1 hour lunch break and a highly competitive salary.
