Job Description Working within a team of 16 engineers, as Multi-skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) you will ensure plant performance is maintained and improved in a safe and efficient manner. You will promote and conduct a pro-active planned maintenance culture, whilst identifying opportunities and delivering solutions for continuous business improvement. Key accountabilities will include: Actively promote a safety culture within the factory ensuring all H&S requirements are metPlay an active part in training and self-development to ensure effective support for productionCommunicate effectively with, and support production departments with advise and information to maintain the effective running of the equipmentEffectively work with contractors using all necessary company procedures, taking corrective action when necessaryHelp ensure appropriate stock levels of critical replacement parts are maintainedCarry out maintenance and repairs to all equipment as requiredRecommend and carry out work to improve equipment reliability and efficiencySupport the production operatives as a technical back up as requiredEnsure Clean As You Go practices are in placeCarry out ad-hoc projects as requiredTo stand in for the Shift Manager if required Key skills and experience required: Strong planning and organisation skillsGood diagnostic abilityGood communication skillsStrong desire to get the job doneAbility to work proactively and identify solutionsTeam playerUsed to working to high standards Candidates must have a recognised qualification in Electrical Engineering, City & Guilds Part 1, 2 and 3 (or NVQ equivalent). The following would be beneficial: Recognised H&S qualification (IOSHH)Food Safety awareness - HACCPGood computer literacyLegislative awareness:PUWERH&S at work regulationsSupply of machinery regulations 2008Electricity at work regulations Hours of work: shifts are 7.00pm - 7.00am, and 7.00am - 7.00pm worked on a 4 on, 4 off basis, rotating days and nights. Holidays: 24 days including bank holidays
