An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time experienced engineer to work in our busy, quick response team in Gloucester. You will have proven experience in maintaining, repairing and installing a range of automation products including automatic doors, parking barriers and automatic gates. Our client has been in business for 28 years and is leading the way in integrated security, safety and automatic entrance control systems for business, healthcare, education and leisure in and around the south west. They are a very forward thinking progressive business, which requires like-minded individuals to join the team. The Role The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for installation, maintenance and repair works to a variety of Automatic Doors, Parking Barriers and Gates systems including their integrated control systems. Some previous experience and ability to install, maintain and repair other attributed integral systems such as access control, CCTV would be useful. The successful candidate will be required to work from our offices based in Gloucester and will report to the Engineering Manager. You must be prepared to work some overtime and travel occasionally as required. To be considered for this role candidates must have Experience in the installation, maintenance & repair of automatic doors, barriers and gates including electro-mechanical NA able to demonstrate experience in automatic entry systems (and preferably security/entry control systems) with technical skills and knowledge for servicing, reactive and preventative NA qualifications or equivalent minimum 5 years recent working experience in the automation and security systems NA BSEN16005 accredited (although not essential as can be provided for the right candidate).Good organisational & communication skills and a positive NA ability to work individually and as part of a teamAbility to learn and adapt to changing environments, products and NA ability to work under pressure and to meet NA a stable work history and a full UK driving NA to be well organised, deliver excellent customer service, be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team and be computer literate. Work Type:The role of an installation, maintenance & repair engineer is diverse and at times physically demanding therefore applicants must consider themselves to be capable and competent of such work type including manual handling, ground works and use of common power tools, working at height and use of ladders and similar access equipment on a regular basis. Travelling and out of hours works can be required as part of this role so flexibility is an essential as is participation in our on-call rota. Salary: Is dependent on knowledge and experience levels, but typically22K-28K basic + Vehicle, On-call, Phone, Tablet, Laptop & Lead Commission Scheme The successful applicant will be required to work a standard 40 hours week, plus any overtime and travel available from time to time.
