Spaces such as TheHub, the Lanchester Library and the Engineering and Computing building are landmark developments for the University, and as the University grows in size and reputation, our estate will continue to advance. Maintaining our focus on creating and managing inspiring student and staff spaces, we are now expanding our Estates team based at the heart of our city centre campus. You will lead and inspire the electrical team to deliver minor works projects, planned preventative maintenance and ensure all Electrical systems on campus and remote sites are well maintained, legally compliant and efficiently functioning. Monitoring KPIs you will provide regular reports on frontline team performance and will regularly audit quality of workmanship, Health and Safety and legal compliance factors to ensure our service is best in class. Reporting to colleagues across the University on performance, you will seek to continually develop process improvements and will inspire excellence in your team. Ideally with a degree in Electrical Building Services, you will be able to demonstrate considerable experience of managing a large portfolio of varied buildings HV and LV networks and electrical systems. You will have experience in managing specialist reactive maintenance in areas such as Lifts, CCTV and Fire Alarms and will be environmentally aware, with a sustainable approach to all aspects of work. You will provide support to the Assistant Director vetting and reviewing new design schemes on new build and refurbishment projects ensuring you review schemes with future operational performance in mind. You will be able to analyse large amounts of data such as condition reports and set strategies and priorities be able to drive forward planned maintenance. You will be implementing Soft landings processes for operating new and refurbished buildings. Closing date: 29 September 2016
