KH Resourcing are recruiting for an experienced Production & Quality Mechanical Engineer based in West London to join the engineering team. The successful candidates will be responsible for developing and improving production processes, tooling and technologies in order to improve productivity, product quality and reliability. Working closely with the Design team in developing new and existing products and optimum production approaches for NA responsibilities: Complete identified improvement projects achieving the required result in a timely manner and within budget. Develop processes and tooling to ensure the company has the most appropriate technology at its disposal, optimising quality and cost, whilst maintaining the required handmade, bespoke brand reputation Prepare capital expenditure proposals Conduct training of staff in new products, processes, and tooling. Develop, implement and maintain systems, processes and procedures to support the on-going achievement of the specific company objectives Develop Quality Assurance processes throughout the factory Support others in the on-going Health, Safety and welfare of all staff Ensure cost effective and timely maintenance of all of the equipment Meeting of budgets and specific objectivesQualifications/Experience Required: Mechanical Engineering Degree, or possibly City and Guilds Engineering, or HND equivalent (Essential) Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, SMED, Poka-yoke would be a distinct advantage (not essential)Attributes, Experience & Competencies: Experience of implementing effective solutions to improve production processes and tooling resulting in Productivity increases A good blend of "Academic / Intellectual" capability with a "Practical and hands on" approach, as is appropriate with a small business Organised and positive with a desire and commitment to improving processes in all areas of the Factory Very good communication, empathy, teamwork and motivation skills and able to relate effectively at all levels from shop floor to board room A capable problem solver who demonstrates resourcefulness and the ability to use sound judgementSalary & Hours of Work: Salary up to 38K (Experience dependent)Bonus Scheme up to 10%38 hours per week (You will need to have a degree of flexibility as with any maintenance role)
