We design and manufacture high performance electric industrial motors from our brand new facility in Dartford, which houses one of the most advanced production and machine shop environments in the South East. We have made significant improvements in production processes by utilising Lean and OpEx and are now looking to build our team with the right people. The successful candidates will be working as part of a small team involved in a key part of our product processes- we have roles in several areas, including winding, assembly and painting among others. The successful people will be crucial members of the cell, driving the performance in the area and working hands-on with the product, with a real focus on achieving output and quality goals. What are the details of the role? On a day to day basis, you will need to: Drive Key Performance Indicators and performance improvement in the teamMaintain safe working practicesMotivate the team to achieve KPI targetsEnsure standard work and time splits are adhered toAdhere to SEM quality standardsEnsure all staff in the team are working to current work instructionsAssist with training activities, holiday cover and the administartion of company prcedures and pliciesImprove visual management in the area Who are we looking for? We would like anyone who is passionate about developing their leadership skills in manufacturing/engineering, and want to gain experience within an advanced company, to apply. Ideally you should have previous experience in a supervisory/management role within a manufacturing environment.
