As the Lead Engineer you will be responsible for delivering a package of work within a project, frequently liaising with other disciplines within the design team is NA Responsibilities: Leading the assigned design team (typically 2 or 3 engineers)Estimate work package timescales and ensure delivery to NA the relationship with Product Management, refine specifications and define NA reviews on the hardware and firmware before NA and manage risks. Engineering Responsibilities:Hardware Design of low power analogue & digital electronic circuitry, often using discrete components to reduce NA simulation tools to verify circuit parameters and production NA an in depth understanding of the circuitry surrounding the microcontroller in order to ensure optimum firmware design. Firmware Efficient and error-free programming of modern NA of robust firmware using the disciplines required for safety critical and low power design. New designs will generally be coded in C, but some may also be coded in NA, update & document legacy products coded in NA software libraries for common functions for use by others in the department. General Collate requirements and generate design NA designs for both internal use and submission to approvals NA in peer review and design review exercises to minimise likelihood of design NA assistance to Production/Test to resolve problems with new & existing product NA assistance to Technical Sales/Warranty, monitor system & product functionality, analyse field returns & generate NA best practice product development techniques, including training & self-learning NA & introduce new technologies where NA new developments & report to the Technical team. Skills, Competencies and Experience: Degree level qualification in Electronic / Computer Engineering or similar NA in hardware oriented embedded firmware NA programming skills in C NA developing code with demanding real time NA debugging skills, both in code and the surrounding NA in modular firmware design including using and creating libraries, version control and team working NA in specification NA in leading small NA in mentoring and training junior engineers
