A Quality Engineer is required to join a market leading Innovative Technology Company that operates within the High engineering Sector. The Quality Engineer will report directly to the Quality Manager and the Quality Engineer will support the Senior Quality Engineer and be responsible to night shift operations. The Quality Engineer will work closely with the shift leader and team to ensure the quality and health and safety outputs meet operational expectations. Quality Engineer - Key Responsibilities- Mentoring and training on quality and processing activities to develop new and existing employees - Delivering continuous improvement projects as directed - Supporting quality and production departments with PPAP activities and FMEA's, etc. - Corrective actions to drive improvement in quality and reliability where applicable - Ensuring 'best practice' to maintain good house-keeping practices (5S) throughout the department - Facilitate the processing of customer complaints and initiating corrective actions in a timely manner - Improving department/CMM and Quality Inspection efficiencies - Ensuring safety protocols are met and resolving adverse HSE issues - Corrective and preventative action processes with adherence to safety standards - Identifying methods for eliminating or reducing the risk and Conducting EHS audits as directed - Knowledge of HSE principles and legislation and appreciation of Environmental Issues - Must be familiar with chemicals and ensure risks and management of Best Practice - Process variance reduction and Internal and External PPM reduction - Satisfactory delivery of CI initiatives and Business Efficiency gains - Timely resolution of customer, internal quality issues - Conducting process / product audits to drive improvements - Timely and safe launch of new products into the business - Monitor Quality and or HSE non-conformance occurrences on night shift Technical Skills and Experience Required for the Quality Engineer- NEBOSH Certification preferred with a proven track record in a similar role - The individual must have the ability to communicate and influence throughout the organisation - Excellent written and verbal communication - Experience with Microsoft office suite , data collection and analysis tools - A methodical approach to prioritise and complete work in a timely and effective manner. - CQI Qualified (preferred) and Auditor Qualified (preferred) - Previous experience in a Quality and or HSE function required - Ability to interpret customer drawings for Quality Standards - Experienced in the use of inspection equipment , including non-contact CMM' **Security Clearance will be required for this role**If you feel you meet the requirements for the role of the Quality Engineer then apply directly or contact Peter Heap at Jonathan Lee Recruitment.
