On behalf of our client we are looking to recruit a Technical Design Manager. Our client a successful Project Management company based in Halifax are looking to expand the senior section of the design team. Design Responsibilities: Producing detailed product drawings in AutoCAD and Solid Edge for both development and manufacturing purposes. Producing and revising AutoCAD FF&E room layouts. Maintaining accurate consistency between room layouts and room schedules. Maintain accurate drawing revision numbers and issue sheets. Produce and revise technical interface drawings as required. Produce detailed production drawings as necessary. Assess and approved supplier and subcontractor production drawings. Produce product specification sheets. Assist with overall project cost and variation reports as required. Procurement Responsibilities: Produce detailed bills of quantities based on room layouts. Produce and preparing tender packs. Produce purchase orders from bills of quantities. Purchase administration and order processing. Maintain accuracy within the purchasing and invoicing system both electronically and in hard copy. Negotiating product prices and payment terms with key suppliers. Source products and prices for layouts and schedules as required. Open trade accounts with suppliers for products sourced from suppliers not currently on the supply chain. Project/Project Related Responsibilities Assist with overall project cost and variation reports as required. Produce project evaluations and assessment of results. Coordination and logistical planning with suppliers and subcontractors. Assisting with the delivery projects on time, within budget and to the clients satisfaction. Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of projects and the Company. Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. Produce project evaluations and assessment of results. Assist in maintaining accurate room availability records throughout the duration of projects. Developing product specifications, ensuring compliance with the finished product specifications; Reading and writing technical reports and specifications, and maintaining appropriate records; Initiating and generating ideas based on reading and research.
