An exciting opportunity has become available to join our client as the Head of Mechanical engineering. The ideal candidate will provide indispensable leadership to the engineering teams, ensuring compliance and productivity in all areas of maintenance. They will encourage and guide the Engineering Managers to provide exceptional results whilst also driving a strong health and safety culture within the engineering teams. Location: Derby / Stoke-on-Trent / Stafford / Burton Salary: 50,000 + Dependant on experience Reporting Structure: Technical Services Director --> Head of Mechanical Engineering --> Mechanical Engineering Managers Key Responsibilities: Management and analysis of all engineering risk assessments and method statements for any unprepared maintenance NA support to the Engineering Managers & Maintenance Teams with technical or procedural issues, giving hands on support and supervision when NA that all work activities act in accordance with the Health and Safety NA awareness of the Permit-to-Work system and ensure that it is followed NA consistent communication updates such as technical reports to line NA and ensure a robust safe contractor control awareness throughout the NA ensure the safe delivery of Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks by use of tool box talks, briefings and spot check NA deliver leadership support to the engineering teams at all NA monitoring and audits of housekeeping and quality NA annual maintenance planning to make certain of efficient budget control and AIB (Authorised Inspection Body) NA reviews of annual NA management of new maintenance NA continuous improvement meetings with other teams/departments to develop synchronisation and support through the NA consistent manager briefings and structured meetings to drive standards into and through the NA regular technical reports and feedback to line NA senior leadership meetings in the absence of line NA timely delivery of all rides and attractions to a safe NA in relevant maintenance meetings to ripen a continuous improvement NA responsibility of Budget NA, control and perform the Technical Duty Office Manager role to an established NA the planning and implementation of the annual/winter maintenance programmes to ensure that all safety/engineering related matters are given due deliberation and are proactively NA continuously uphold and encourage a solid health and safety culture within the maintenance NA engineering toolbox talks to drive a strong Health and Safety ethos."Hands on" approach to engineering NA and disciplinary management.
