My Client who are a leading provider in the field of Electronic Signage and ITS products. They have a wide customer base including Highways England, Local Authorities, Out-of-Town Shopping Centres, private developers, Car Park operators and Parish Councils. They design, manufacture, install and maintain traffic technology equipment, offering their customers the convenience of a single provider solution. They are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to plan, deliver and close projects in accordance with the customer requirements, to the agreed timescales, within budget and to the customer satisfaction. This includes working with stakeholders to acquire resources (material and labour) and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to the project plan. As Project Manager you will ensure the project is delivered using safe methods of work and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. Responsible for: Defining project scope, goals, deliverables and key success criteria for the project. Communicating the requirements to the internal team and NA effective day to day management and overseeing of the project. Effectively leading internal staff and Sub-contractors to achieve the milestones and objectives. Creating an open and honest project environment in order to accurately understand progress and establish action plans as NA a good relationship with the Customer and maintaining a good NA of project plans and associated communications documents for the project and regularly updating NA regular internal progress meetings to understand progress and realign the team NA all necessary Method Statements and ensuring a safe working environment is NA the resources and team members needed to achieve the project goals, establishing the baseline. Monitor usage against the baseline on a regular basis and reforecast as NA the day to day procurement of materials and resource is achieved to ensure project timescales are NA performance of the project, establishing controls to understand the project P&L status at any time. Ensuring control of all material and labour costs for the NA and resolving issues as they NA the project programme. Identify and manage project dependencies, understand the critical path and determine the baseline; control progress updating using an appropriate NA project milestones and deliverables. Establish appropriate recovery measures if timescales NA manage internal and external changes in project scope, draft and submit early warnings, change reports, variation orders, and recommend changes where NA project risks and actively manage them, devise contingency plans as NA, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned NA project lessons learnt sessions in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project NA input to bids as required. Preferred Skills and Behaviours: 3 years direct work experience in a project management capacity, ideally in the Traffic Signals or ITS NA to be Customer Focused whilst representing the needs of NA communicator able to provide clear and concise instruction to the NA negotiating NA NA independently with minimal guidance; understand when to escalate NA organisation skills, able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure NA with passion and enthusiasm to succeed, to motivate and encourage other team NA to gain cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, other departments and sub-contractors. Preferred Qualifications and Education: Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent in an appropriate discipline is desirable. (Depth and breadth of experience will be taken into account where these qualifications have not been attained).APM training or equivalent would be an NA and proficient understanding of Microsoft Packages, in particular Word, Excel and Microsoft Project or equivalent software package is NA of NEC contracts would be an NA trained would be an NA of the requirements of CDM would be an advantage. Work Conditions Based in Milton Keynes on a day to day basis but you must be flexible when flexible working will be required in order to meet project NA time and weekend working may be needed to monitor progress and guide the installation NA travel may will required for the purpose of meetings with clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel/management.
