Seymour Recruitment Services Ltd are seeking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Engineer to work for our NG2 based clients on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well established organisation. Salary will be paid dependent upon experience and ranges from 20,000 to 25,000 per annum. Please be aware that to qualify for this role you must be a qualified electrician to 17th Edition Wiring regulations. Working with our clients busy and fast paced manufacturing environment, your Primary Roles and responsibilities will include: Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly and all other servicing of company equipment Annual PAT Testing Provide the first line of support in breakdown situations to reduce downtime To assist the Maintenance manager General maintenance 1. Essential, Demonstrable Skills Maintainence Skills and Experience *Must be qualified electrician to 17th Edition Wiring regulation *Strong knowledge and experience of electrical and mechanical engineering (5-7 years). * Experienced in the management & resolution of machine breakdown issues, both as first response and follow-up liaison with external service engineers. *Thorough understanding of Health & Safety Working with Others * You must possess strong listening and questioning skills with the ability to interpret requirements & formulate a solution. *Show interest, probing for understanding and looking for an underlying meaning when listening. Seeking first to understand what the problem is. *You must be able to take the time to understand the root of a problem by asking qualifying questions in order to be sure that you understand what the other person is saying. *Effective use of visual aids to convey message if required. Asks effective exploratory questions *Develops, nurtures, maintains and negotiates long term business relationships *Closure: Getting a verifiable agreement on who will do what and what will be done next. Gaining agreement to an action *Summarising benefits and defining action plan, with ownership assigned. Gaining agreement on a action plan collaboration You must be.. *Numerate *Able to communicate effectively in a timely and tailored manner. *Have the ability to deciphers complex situations into key actions and requirements *Be organised and thorough when giving and receiving information *Has the ability to gain support and leads others to a desired outcome. *Able to think on your feet and be flexible to adjust plans as needed *Readily responds to meet the needs of others inside and outside of the company.
