Monday-Friday (Full-time) but applicants will be required to cover a rotating shift pattern to include nights and earlies. There is also a 1 in 6 rota for the electrical team to cover the site over weekends and when on rota there is a generous call in rate and bonus. Our Andover based client are urgently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer/Electrician to join their team. The successful applicant will take responsibility for a range of electrical activities across a large manufacturing site and will have extensive knowledge of fault finding, electrical equipment, control processes and compliance issues. This is an urgent requirements. Job Duties: -To support all electrical activities within the manufacturing site and take responsibility for fault finding, machinery issues, control processes and compliance. -To effectively and efficiently fault find and provide solutions within an electrically compliant framework -Uphold an excellent level of health and safety across the site and assist with any technical issues that could affect site performance or facilities -Safely operate machines and equipment and analyse electrical data to reduce break downs, failures and stoppages on the production line -Work across a wide range of electrical and engineering functions throughout the site and complete planned, preventative and corrective activities as required -Generate ideas and implement improvements to drive production and increase equipment efficiency -Interact with engineering technicians to assist in their learning of electrical processes and encourage a multi-skilled working environment -Take an interest in business performance issues and support ongoing projects -Support the reliability and front line managers in the development of new production staff -Ensure electrical quality and compliance standards are exceeded through good practices to include installation and testing to legal and legislative requirements Person Specification: -The successful applicant must have experience of working within a high speed manufacturing or FMCG environment and demonstrate strong electrical competencies, knowledge of PLC, PAT and fault finding capabilities -Experience in design and installation of electrical systems -Experience of SCADA/PLC minor programme changes is desirable -A strong understanding of manufacturing processes and prioritising workloads is essential and the successful applicant must be an excellent team player and able to work with staff across all levels -Electrical qualifications and a knowledge of 17th Edition is essential for this role and experience in installation inspection is desirable -Strong communication skills, the ability to resolve problems in an efficient manner and collaborate in team activities is essential -Strong IT skills are desirable as is an understanding of lean tools and techniques and CAD -The successful applicant must be adaptable in changing environments Adecco are an equal opportunities employer#LI-AB1Adecco is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
