Export Coordinator - Aerospace / Defence 25-35k doe9% Non Contrib Pension Half day finish on Fridays - (Monday to Thursday 8.00 - 17.00 and Fridays 8.00 - 12.00 We are currently looking for an experienced Coordinator to join our clients Commercial department to assists with the development and implementation of business processes for export trade controls. The company is a prestigious Aerospace / Engineering role based near Uxbridge, Middlesex. This will include following (and recommending improvements to) processes for managing compliance to licences and regulations, reporting, providing company representation at internal and external audits. Work within a small team reporting to the Head of Commercial Operations. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: - Administer UK Export licensing and compliance covering hardware, software and technology including classification, use of Open Licences and applications and use of Individual Licences. - Administer compliance by the business with issued US Export (ITAR and EAR) licences for tangible and intangible items including defence services - Maintain records of licencing requirements/restrictions for portfolio of export controlled programmes and products. Responsible for government and internal reporting requirements. - Assist with commodity classification process for products (hardware, software and technology) with the UK authorities and with US military (ITAR) and dual use (EAR) controls - Maintain internal compliance database and UK BIS SPIRE account - Share best practices for effective and efficient trade control processes - Coordinate participation and responses to any internal or external audits or assessments. - Participate in the development, improvement and maintenance of International Trade Compliance procedures and develop work instructions. - Assist with the coordination and provision of regular training for staff on UK, EU and US export controls. - Represent the company in interfaces with UK BIS. - Engage with other internal business functional organizations to enhance integration of trade control processes and compliance infrastructure - Support Business Development and Programme Management to comply with all regulatory obligations in accordance to company procedures and to ensure compliant tenders and contract execution EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS and PERSON SPECIFICATION: Essential criteria; - Degree qualified - Business Administration, International Business or Engineering/IT with evidence of training and experience in the application of current UK trade controls - Appreciation of UK Export Control Regulations - Knowledge of US Export Laws and Regulations (ITAR and EAR) would be beneficial - Note that training will be given on both UK and US export regulations - Experience of effective working across organizations covering Engineering, Security, Business Development, Contracts and Supply Chain - Ability to work with minimal supervision in cross-department - Ability to integrate regulatory requirements into business processes Security Clearance (to MoD Secret Level) is a critical requirement of this role therefore applicants will need to have a British Passport or residency (5+ years) to be considered for this role. Current or previous Security Clearance (to MoD Secret Level) will be an advantage.
