Our client are a leading manufacturer based in Washington, Tyne & Wear. We're now looking to recruit for the role of Parts Master Data Co-ordinator on a fixed term 12 month contract. This is an immediate requirment. "Experience in ERP systems with a FMCG or Automotive manufacturing enviroment, collating the build up of product information allying it with the manufacturing processes and the expected financial outputs. Must have strong experience of ERP." Purpose; An exciting opportunity for confident ERP user with a manufacturing background to develop their career. This is a key role in the organisation to ensure part master data is accurate and available in a timely manner, this to ensure the accuracy of transactions, subsequent reporting and decision makingResponsibilities; To facilitate and manage the master data requirements required from each of the relevant departments including the bill of materials, routings, materials, logistics, shipping, warehouse, vendor and costing To ensure clarity and adherence to company policy, processes and controls that affect master data The continually maintain and improve master data using the business change control to ensure parts, material requirements and costs reflect the current trading position To review and monitor the data accuracy in the business ERP system tracking and validating part changes against the operating plan/budget To be the first line of support for any master data issues, concerns or improvement ideas To work with the SAP Business Analyst for issue resolution and in the development of standard working practices in support of the master data processJob requirements; Manufacturing experience, ideally automotive and worked in either one of the following disciplines, engineering or material control or financial costing disciplines Must have a good working knowledge of SAP and considered and expert in one of the above disciplines. Master data awareness would be a significant advantage Must be a confident PC user Able to demonstrate excellent communication and people skills. A team player Be practical and have a hands on approach and able work in a busy manufacturing environment Able to identify issues, plan correction actions, close out the activity and sustain improvements.
