Job Title: Quality Inspector (Electro-Mechanical) Salary: 20,000 to 25,000 Location: Blackpool Hours of Work: 8am to 4.30pm - Mon to Thursday - Friday 8:00am to 1:30pm A worldwide leading manufacturer has an expanding business and are currently looking to recruit a Quality Inspector to join the team. This person will be responsible for undertaking quality control activities in support of the manufacturing process with an emphasis on parts & equipment conformance, error prevention & continuous improvement. Duties will include: Conducting First Article Inspections of Component Parts, Sub-Assemblies and Finished Product to Drawings & Specifications. Control & Management of the equipment calibration system. Finalizing First Article Inspection Reports & recording data. Maintain product quality standards. - Capture & analysis of quality data against targets & making recommendations for improvement. Supporting business processes and personnel in continuous improvement activities in addition to providing information concerning product and process quality performance. Liaising with suppliers to resolve quality issues. Supporting the Engineering departments for ongoing and new products through quality planning and implementation, liaising with internal functions and suppliers. Any other reasonable duties. Required skills, knowledge and experience: Qualifications & Experience in Electro-Mechanical Engineering Experience in Quality Control (Aerospace preferred not essential if similar experience as a Quality Inspector) Competent in the use of basic mechanical & electrical measuring equipment: VerniersHeightGaugeMicrometers Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and engineering information. Continuous Improvement philosophy. Effective communicator at all levels both verbal and written. Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team. IT literate - Effective use of Microsoft Office software; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access.
