New Model & Cost Section Leader - Automotive Salary of 36-40k doeHours: 37 hours per week25 days annual holiday (plus statutory bank holidays)Other company bonuses The Role Our client has a new introduction of a major automotive model change and the requirement exists to develop the processes around new model introduction. The successful candidate will have the ability to determine the factors which are key to a successful model launch, establish how these factors will be monitored and prepare reaction plans for areas of concern. Working closely with the existing team who are primarily operationally focused, the expectation is that the support will take an overview of the current activity and formalise the existing processes; ensuring that it fits with customer expectations; and provides the outputs necessary to satisfy internal formal gateways, management reviews and weekly reporting. Outputs should include robust process metrics which drive activity and provide an early indication of any abnormal condition. An overarching expectation is that the New Model Team has a robust introduction method which is clearly documented and widely understood, not only satisfying, but anticipates the customers own process. Main Responsibilities Lead and develop the team, taking responsibility for structured improvement themes consistent with the Business Plan and overall company direction. Facilitate feedback to the customer on project performance and status, which may include the resolution of customer responsible issues which are impeding progress or may affect the overall project NA new model 'stock in plant, providing seamless integration of mass production NA metrics that monitor performance, provides detailed analysis of any gap and implementing appropriate counter NA forecasting and NA compliance with the companies Corporate Governance, UK law and other legislative NA continuous improvement ideas to strengthen business performance.
