Service Engineer Location: Bidford on Avon Salary competitive & dependant on experience TM Resourcing (Technical Division) are currently recruiting on behalf of a company in the Bidford on Avon area for a customer facing Service engineer to join the existing Service department and look after machine installations, on site repairs, training and maintenance, primarily in the UK but also to support their partners abroad from time to time. Job Purpose: As part of the Service team you will be required to support customers in various service & maintenance roles to support the factory and manufacturing side of the business with electrical and software support as well as electrical diagrams, schematics & wiring designs for various machines. Telephone support when in the factory to offer customers with immediate assistance with fault finding and maintenance. You will be responsible for all site based set up, engineering and support during each call-out. A good mechanical engineering background is essential with an electrical/PLC bias being required. You will need to be able to support yourself, think on your feet & communicate well internally & externally at all times and have a hard working customer focused attitude. Being able to fault find & having a good knowledge of PLC literacy is an important requirement of your daily job. On site work will form 3-4 days per week of the role and the other days will be based from their factory where the candidate would be helping with production machines, general build of all machinery and wiring diagrams/electrical design of bespoke machinery and manual design as well as PDI/quality control of finished production machines. Skills/Experience: Good level of engineering skills - Mechanically and Electrically PLC literacy skills Fault finding Literacy and numeric skills as the role involves verbal & written communication with customers/suppliers Ability to multi-task Good computer skills Able to work as a team or individually Good communicative skills both verbally and on email This role is open to applicants of all levels with a service, manufacturing or site experience.
