Event Prop Hire Ltd is recruiting for an electrics Technician to join the team. The successful applicant will support the Electrical Supervisor in the day to day maintenance and preparation of electrical equipment. The role will also involve onsite installation and de-rigs necessitating occasional overnight stays for the duration of the event. You will be required to provide support to various departments, offering a creative insight where possible. The ideal candidate will have good working knowledge of lighting and electrical equipment and at least 1 year of experience working in events or the theatrical industry. They must have good interpersonal skills, working both alone or as part of a team. A good working knowledge of Health and Safety and LOLER. Pat Testing and IPAF 3A, 3B qualified would be an advantage. Due to the variety of events we work on you will also be required to work at heights and undertake any other manual activity necessary, as well as apply a practical and methodical approach to work and meet tight deadlines. Working hours: 8:00 - 16:30 but flexibility is required to meet the seasonal demands of the business. Salary : 18:000+ Dependent on experience. Benefits: 22 Days Holiday Plus bank Holiday accruing to 25 days after 3 years of service and Competitive Pension Package. The successful candidate must have own transport. Main Duties include Preparing hire items as detailed on booking forms and job lists, checking the operation/appearance of the item and ensuring all accessories or component parts are present and NA prepped hire items are safe to use and comply with all current health and safety and regulatory requirements, reporting any issues to the NA items are returned in an acceptable condition and are put back tidily in the correct NA out general maintenance, formal visual inspections, combined inspections and testing, ensuring records are up to date and items are labelled NA all damages, discrepancies and incidents are acted upon effectively and logged onto NA items are correctly packaged and labelled according to the current processes and proceduresMaintains a safe and healthy work environment, following standards and procedures; including the maintenance of a clean and tidy workspace and supporting the Warehouse team close down, ensuring compliance with legal regulations at all times, reporting any issues to the NA Technical Support on installs and Derigs with occasional overnight stays, weekend working and support to the driving NA cover in the absence of the Electrical Supervisor How to apply: If you are interested in this role please apply by sending us your CV and a covering letter detailing why you would be suitable for the above position, and what you can bring to our team.
