We are now recruiting for a Night-shift Conveyor Technician who will provide a comprehensive maintenance, breakdown and repair service. Key Accountabilities Cradle-to-Grave support and management of conveyor maintenance NA of opportunities, development of proposals, and implementation of solutions that deliver tangible improvements to operations and the facilities NA of contractors, suppliers and internal resource, including allocation of work, preparation of required specifications and ensuring the contractor delivers to the agreed NA all work adheres to Health & Safety guidelines, policies, legislation and NA, quality, communications to all relevant NA closely with the Operations, Facilities and Projects NA for the coaching, training, mentoring and sharing of experience, and best practice, to others within the Facilities NA for balancing and prioritising own NA incident response to Operations related issues; effecting repairs or making adjustments to ensure the maximum uptime, safety and operating efficiency of the NA the management team in developing and implementing continuous improvement ideas and NA priorities for attending to problems in more than one location. Liaising with operators and managers as NA ownership of workshop/office activates to support the above, including: spares availability, improvement of procedures, sourcing items, etc. Essential: A recognised trade apprenticeship or equivalent training and NA literate with knowledge of MS Office and Planned Preventative Maintenance NA experience in a logistics or manufacturing NA of working with the pressures associated within a time critical, distribution/operational/manufacturing NA and Experience in the operation, fault-finding and repair to; pneumatics and hydraulics, motor/gear boxes, drives, conveyors, tools and equipment (some basic industrial electrical applications)Proven track record of fault NA technical experience and NA person with the ability to plan and manage priorities NA communication skills to all levels of the NA data analysis and problem solving skills for the evaluation of logistics and technical NA to build relationships across cultures and across NA influencing NA to challenge and generate own ideas in a team NA to maintain a professional image and approach at all NA to implement and maintain high levels of Health and Safety NA evidence of the RS Behaviours - The Way we Work. Desirable: Experience with forklift and order picker trucks and packing NA recognised Health & Safety training / qualification e.g. IOSHH or NA of materials handling industry best practice for storage and processing NA to present facilities options and technical solutions to management teams at all NA experience - preferably Siemens NA and/or Control experience in a logistics or manufacturing environment. Other Information The role allows for a Technical Development Plan (TDP). This is a 3 level training matrix that allows staged extra payments to be made of 1500 per level - on top of the base salary. (It's envisioned that each of these levels take an average of 6 months to complete.)
