SHEQ Manager - Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Manager Salary Circa 42k negotiable depending on Experience Pension + life assurance OVERVIEW Location - Sheffield Duration - Permanent Contract Hours of Work - Full time Monday - Friday 37.5 hours Benefits - Competitive salary, free car parking, 25 days annual leave + stats, pension scheme, death in service, excellent training and development with a very well established company. THE CLIENT Our client is a well established Sheffield based engineering business with prosperous growth plans. They are currently looking to recruit a SHEQ (Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality)Manager on a full time permanent basis. THE JOB As Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) Manager you will report into the Manager Director and will be responsible for a small team including Quality Engineer and Inspector. Daily responsibilities within the role will include: Drive and improve Health and Safety and Environmental standards across the company meeting 18001 and 14001 standards where required. Develop SHEQ Communication Strategies for all levels of staff to include written information, tool box talks and management briefs keeping all staff up to date with SHEQ good practice. Provide a professional service to line management at all levels. This will include day to day management; accident reduction strategies; and management SHEQ training requirements. Carry out statistical analysis and trending to identify issues of concern; assist in the creation, modification and delivery of relevant action plans and provide support for all SHEQ and functional processes. Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, near misses and non conformance ensuring that all documentation is completed and systems are updated. Provide advice on root causations, best preventative measures and share lessons learned. Provide support to the HR department with inductions, SHEQ related training and employee wellbeing issues including occupational health and industrial disease. Facilitate all forms of risk assessment and act as a final authority where a specialist response in required. CRITERIA:Essential Previous experience within a SHEQ (Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality) Management role NEBOSH National General Certificate Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO18001 Experience of Method statements, site inspections and investigations, auditing, compliance and maintenance of SHEQ standard, risk assessments and CDM Regulations Driving license Desirable Previous experience of working within a heavy engineering would be advantageous but not essential BENEFITS Competitive salary circa 42k, free car parking, 25 days annual leave + stats, 5%/5% pension scheme, death in service and excellent training and development with a very well established company.
