Are you a born juggler? Can you keep all these balls in the air to deliver complex projects on time to specification? Reporting to the Technical Services Manager you will provide a project management service and be a subject matter expert, managing the scope, design, validation and commissioning of turn-key engineering and facility projects ranging in value from10,000 to multi-millions. Your challenge will be to deliver these on time, to specification for pharmaceutical/medical device manufacturing equipment with all the associated facilities to ensure cost effective, lean manufacturing is achieved. What youll be doing as the Facilities Project Engineer: Defining the project scope and process design in consultation with the business and specialist sub-contractorsDevelop the technical specification to deliver lean manufacturing processes including evaluation and the introduction of automated systems for both existing and new conceptsCross functional team working to deliver the projects ensuring they are complete and all requirements includedCoordinate all the design & development, equipment specification and procurement for the specialised engineers covering Electrical and Controls, Mechanical and LayoutsEnsure validation and commissioning are achieved, working closely with local engineering teams and specialist sub-contractors then providing technical support during the ramp up to full productionAutonomously manage your time and the projects with support from the Technical Services Manager and site staff To achieve success in this Facilities Project Engineer role youll need to have: A Degree (or equivalent e.g. HND/HNC) in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, Process or similar engineering disciplineExperience of Pharmaceutical/Medical device or similar manufacturing / production environment in a project lead role with high technical content and engineering inputGMP & continuous improvement and operations management, coupled with working knowledge of clean rooms, aseptic/sterile highly controlled manufacturing processes utilising automated equipment and all associated utility and building NA practical, hands on, have a high level of attention to detail and the tenacity to drive projects forwardsWell-developed communication skills and interpersonal skills essential as this role touches all areas of the business from manufacturing to facilities and the NA skills, validation experience, lean manufacturing, Construction Design Management (CDM) are all highly desirable attributes Salary and benefits: 40 - 46,000, pension, healthcare, discretionary bonus, benefits package and 25 days holiday About the company: As an international blue chip manufacturer of specialist, highly regulated products at the forefront of many new technologies, products and processes they offer long term career opportunities and constructive succession planning in the UK and internationally and your expertise will be developed and shared with colleagues.
