Senior Nuclear Engineer (Technical Author) A successful FTSE 100 engineering support services organisation is looking to take on a Senior Nuclear Engineer (Technical Author) to ensure that nuclear implicated work is conducted safely. The Job The main responsibility of the role is to write nuclear procedures which are presented to a committee to be signed off by the PAG Chairman. You will be given relevant and appropriate training so you will be able to efficiently and effectively work on Nuclear Procedures and Nuclear Technical Instructions. You will also provide technical input and advice on nuclear repair to support project, production, plant managers and design/safety case teams. Company Information The Nuclear Engineering Branch offers direct support to Submarine Production during work on Fleet Time Submarines in RAMP / DRP / LPP to enable nuclear implicated work to be conducted safely and in accordance with the relevant Plant Safety Case. This involves the provisions of Nuclear Procedures, Nuclear Technical Instructions and Nuclear Logics. This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding team and have a real influence on the safety procedures within the nuclear industry. The Requirements This role is well suited to service leavers, particularly Royal Navy (CPO/WO/ CAT B) A good understanding of the NSRP NA in the operation, Maintenance and Testing of the NA understanding of the ALARP principle.A good understanding of the need for a Safety NA ability to communicate NA Literacy Skills (MS Word & Visio).The successful candidates will be required to hold or pass the mandatory technical courses Nuclear Plant Foundation Course, Nuclear Fundamental Course, Nuclear Practitioner Course, Dockyard Nuclear Systems Course, Submarine QA Course. Royal Navy equivalent courses are NA plant and procedure writing experience is desirable.
