Manufacturing Engineer As a Manufacturing Engineer within the business you will responsible for connecting the design engineering function with the manufacturing department. You will ensure that our products are built in the most efficient way with the most modern tools available. A key member of the manufacturing engineering team you will shape the investment and development of the manufacturing facility for today and the NA this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to influence short-term and some long-term business NA Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and maintain manufacturing methods and create process routings Design and build / procure necessary tooling and finishing within budgets Support equipment upgrades from purchase through installation Conduct cost/benefit analysis for changes to processes and/or equipment Support EHS projects on the site Drive Process Improvement / Cycle Reduction initiatives and drive productivity improvements via process changes or improvements Ensure processes contribute to a safe work environment Identify and reduce sources of labour efficiency variations Identify and reduce product quality issues caused by process variation Support the quality function through integration of ISO/QC documentation and Manufacturing methods Instructions Lead high impact process and quality improvement projects yielding significant reduction in defects and increased productivity in manufacturing Attend cross-functional quality sessions and track/drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing issues Lead New Technology Initiatives (NTI) and share best practices with other locations. Work with NPI programs to ensure a transition/integration plan for new products is developed and factory resources are ready to receive the program at launch Utilize lean-manufacturing principles and participate in action workouts to improve process capability, reduce overall costs and increase capacityDesired qualifications/characteristics: Engineering degree or equivalent Ability to work as a part of a small team as well as on own initiative Strong working knowledge of Electronic assembly and process technologies for leading edge complex electronic circuits. i.e. Conformal coat application, Underfilling / Overfilling, PCB Cleaning, AOI, CMM programming Experience of Electro Mechanical assembly processes
