The RoleOur client, a well established manufacturer of machined parts and components in the automotive sector with global coverage, has an immediate vacancy for a Mechanical and Electrical Multi-skilled Maintenance NA position is full time and permanent and the successful candidate must be willing to work a rotating and continuous shift pattern (both days and nights) over a two week planned rota (seven days out of fourteen, twelve hour shifts, averaging 42 hours per week).The core responsibilities of the role include the installation of new automated plant equipment, Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic repair and service and machine tool and plant equipment, analysis of breakdowns and identification of countermeasures, P.M. and T.P.M. activities and the repair of parts for re-use. The package on offer is 34,600 per annum plus a 35% shift and on call allowance, pension and the shift equivalent of 25 days annual leave and 8 bank holidays (21 shifts).The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with shop floor workers and supervisors as well as managers and colleagues within the Maintenance Department. Good verbal and written communication skills are a must, along with a good level of computer literacy. It is expected that the successful candidate will have the ability to work as part of a team and it is essential that any self motivated applicants has the initiative to work on their own in a challenging 24 hour environment, whilst maintaining a committed, positive, flexible and dependable work ethic. Undoubtedly, any candidates should have an analytical and problem solving approach to their NA Skills Machine C.N.C. Tool experience. In depth knowledge of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Clamping Systems Mechanical Handling, Automated Track and Robot repairs as well as servicing. Experience analysing, implementing and maintaining Planned Preventative Maintenance/Preventative Maintenance (P.P.M/P.M.) and Total Productive Maintenance (T.P.M.). Proven track record in electrical/electronic fault finding of P.L.C. and N.C. controls preferably, Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mori-Seiki and Okuma. Experience of working in a TS16949 environment. PAT testing. Cherry picker training/license. 17th Edition regulations.
