To diligently lead and be accountable for the Brakes accreditation to ISO 14001 and ensure all of our Brakes colleagues are trained and supported within the Brakes NA Accountabilities & Responsibilities:- Ensure that the EMS is updated regularly and that information on Evista is both relevant and incudes the very latest compliance information.- Working closely with our group teams to implement effective systems to eliminate the chance of environmental failings and supporting both the audit process especially the remedial actions.- Ensuring the sites are capable of delivering environmental objectives to achieve continuous improvement.- To work with NQA on ensuring we achieve annual accreditation and leading the regional teams in best industry practice.- To lead the utility reduction programme and help drive down our costs by energy reduction and also implementing new technology across our distribution centres.- Update the legal register every 6 months- To continuously update CCA CCL, CRC and make sure that all of Brakes sites fully benefit from the discount.- To update the EMS when notifications are received from NQAThe Person Knowledge, Skills, Experience:- A good academic standard of education (ideally with 5 GCEs) or previous experience gained in a similar role- Management system knowledge of ISO 14001- Knowledge of up to date techniques required to deliver behavioural and cultural change- Good budgetary planning and control- Excellent computer skills with an emphasis on Excel and able to prepare clear and concise reports- Experience of managing external relationships with enforcement agencies.- NEBOSH diploma or certificate (as a minimum)The BusinessEmploying over 10,000 people, the group supplies a diverse customer base, which includes, independent pubs, restaurants and hotels, schools, hospitals, contract caterers and well known national NA Group has developed a clear customer focus and a strong understanding of the needs of the foodservice sector providing innovative products and services and is committed to improving both the environment and the communities it NA Group operates as an equal opportunities employer and we welcome all applications regardless of gender, marital status, sexual orientation, pregnancy, race, colour, ethnic origin, nationality, religion or beliefs, disability, age, political opinions or trade union membership.
