CNC Milling Machine Programmer/Setter/Operator A permanent, full time vacancy has arisen for an experienced, skilled CNC Milling Machine Programmer/Setter/Operator working within the Machine Shop reporting to the Manufacturing Manager. You will be heavily involved in setting and operating their twin pallet, horizontal 4 axis machining centre, also 5 axis experience is highly desirable to fit in with the companys future plans but 4 axis experience is currently needed. Our client also requires CNC milling programming experience for Fanuc and Renishaw Probing. Role Requirements: To effectively interpret engineering drawings or route cards, programme, set and operate Bridgeport / Robodrill and/or Kitamura vertical and horizontal CNC milling machines with 4th axis rotary indexers and Renishaw probing, all with Fanuc controls and to produce a quality end-product within set quality, tolerances and productivity time scales. Individuals will be working within a small team but need to be able to work on their own initiative with minimal supervision and also provide support to other members of the Machine Shop. An ideal candidate would be able to set and operate both CNC Milling and CNC Turning machines. As well as an extensive machining background suitable candidates will have a comprehensive understanding of 3, 4 and 5 axis machining, and a good knowledge of materials and machining techniques. They must also have a proven track record of CNC part program prove outs, set ups and optimization of method activities. Good channels of communication exist within the companys management structure and individuals are encouraged to be proactive in ensuring the quality of all machined work using the most efficient production methods. The role also has scope for individuals to interface with the Design Department on new projects, providing cost estimates for machining and to extend their skill base with the application of any new technology introduced into the Machine Shop. Essential Skills & Experience CNC milling programming experience for Fanuc and Renishaw Probing Program, Set & Operate vertical 3 axis mills and horizontal twin pallet 4 axis machining centre. Extensive tool setting experience Read and interpret engineering drawings to enable programming, setting and manufacture to achieve a right first time product CMM basic programming /operation Strong problem solving skills with good practical application Highly motivated to improving productivity without compromise on quality Maintain a high standard of housekeeping Good communication, operational and organisational skills Well presented with a positive, proactive and professional approach Desirable Skills Manual milling and Grinding skills and experience would be desirable but not essential Offline Programming experience or CAD CAM knowledge and skills also be desirable but not essential Salary 25,000 to 30,000 40 hour week - currently 8.00am - 4.30pm, Monday to Friday with 30 minutes for lunch (scope for some work hours flexibility) Additional production bonus - when applicable - paid monthly in arrears (currently averaging approximately 3%+ basic salary) Overtime when available and authorised in advance, at 1.5 times basic salary Non-contributory Company Health Scheme and Death in Service Insurance Schemes and Sickness Absence Pay, available after a successful six month performance review 22 days annual holiday rising to 24 days after two full calendar years, plus Bank Holidays Private pension scheme available in line with Government legislation and guidelines Free parking on site CNC Milling Machine Programmer/Setter/Operator Location: Woking, Surrey Salary: 25,000 to 30,000
