Job Purpose: Our client is seeking a Graduate Calibration Engineer to calibrate the engine management for customer projects. Key Responsibilities & Tasks: Project engineer supporting British OEM customers on and off siteWorking within the Electronics Engineering Department together with OEM and our clients engineers in following areas:Engine Control Unit, Transmission Control Unit, Power Steering, Air suspension, Electronic Stability Program, Tire Pressure Monitoring SystemComponent hardware and software, control unit interaction (CAN/Flexray), sensor and actuatorsSupport OEM and our clients engineers in definition and integration of new features for engine, chassis and bodyCooperate as our clients resident with the OEM and its partnersPerform a liaison role between OEM and our client (interface to our client) and also to other suppliersCarry out validation of vehicle based functions on the test bench, on prototype vehicles, or at the production lineAttendance on international test trips (predominantly to Europe)Coordination of all business requirements for components in terms of function, performance, legislation reliability, safety NA and expediting of test and validation programs appropriate to the component/system to ensure the requirements of "Engineering Sign-Off"Support for all vehicle prototype and production build phases in terms of parts provision, technical know-how, fault-finding, problem resolution and vehicle sign-offReporting directly to OEM engineers and managementManagement of the system / component suppliers. Required to facilitate regular project reviews with suppliers and the clients core teamSupporting the quality department in field problem resolution within relevant system responsibility Qualifications & Experience: Engineering degree (min. BEng/ BSc in Electrical Engineering/Embedded Systems/Computer Science)Experience with Bosch MED17 / MDG1 systems, CAN / Flexray bus communication and interaction of sensors, actuators and control units in state of the art passenger carsExperience in vehicle and component validation for series vehicle developmentKnowledge of the product development process in the automotive industryKnowledge in hybrid systems is an advantageCustomer-oriented and project-proven, flexible and reliable engineer with a hands-on mentalityCan do attitude, able to work under pressure and to tight deadlinesOpen-minded team worker with intercultural competence If you are interested and would like to be considered for this role then we would very much like to hear from you.
