Role:Safety Engineer Salary: 30,500 - 42,990 + attractive package Relocation Allowance: Up to 8,000 Locations: Bristol Our client is seeking individuals with a broad base of Engineering skills, ideally with knowledge and experience of working within the defence and / or maritime industry, though they are eager to see applications from outside the defence and maritime industry too. To be considered you should be able to demonstrate extensive skills as an Engineer that are transferable to a marine environment - Any exposure to complex systems from an Automotive, Rail, Oil and Gas, Telecoms and Aerospace background for example would be perfect. From your recent roles you must be able to demonstrate that your Engineering knowledge is not purely hands on: You must be able to show where and how you have reviewed and enhanced plans etc. not just implemented them. At the more senior level the role requires you to show leadership & management within an Engineering environment too. Key to these positions is your ability to review designs and enhance their application, this must at all time take into account Safety aspects and again at the senior level being able to demonstrate skills in making Safety Critical Decisions will be required. Our client will provide you with excellent training resulting in industry recognised qualifications alongside exposure to some of the most cutting edge applications and complex projects. To be considered you must hold an engineering qualification - HNC or higher The range of responsibilities will typically include: Deliver new and sustain existing capabilities that are safe to NA and preparing technical requirements and options reviewing and approving contractors' designs and plans, managing the collation of data to support the acceptance of equipment into NA technical advice on material properties, testing techniques and remedial NA expertise on equipment, systems and platforms and their safety implications to meet the needs of the client, including compliance with the statutory and regulatory framework.
