Full time position for an experienced heating engineer. Commercial experience is required, biomass experience is beneficial. Skills and Qualifications: Required: A proven level of ability usually attained through 3 years of experience working as a qualified and competent plumbing and heating NA fault diagnostic NA Level 2 & 3 Diploma in Plumbing & NA G, unvented hot NA a Full valid UK drivers NA Electrical knowledge. Not - required (but favourable): HETAS H005 / H005DE biomass (or equivalent).Excellent solid fuel knowledge complete with an industry recognised NA track record/work history of domestic and commercial biomass and solid fuel servicing and breakdown NA H006 chimneys (or equivalent) A Band #2 Heating/Biomass Engineer is responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining pipes, fixtures, plant and other plumbing used for heating, water distribution and waste water disposal in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. This is a hands on role and would suit an individual that can work using their own initiative and must have a proactive approach to undertake all tasks required. A band #2 Heating/Biomass engineer is required to work as part of a larger team whilst under supervision and in addition hold a level of experience and maturity that enables them to work independently to fulfill tasks, without supervision, to completion. Excellent communication skills are required to allow interaction between both customers and contractors, to identify their needs; and the ability to clearly explain the method by which you will meet their needs. Once work is complete to interact with customer/contractor to ensure they are satisfied with the completed works and any customer interface training is carried out. Main duties: Install, repair and maintain heating and plumbing systems and components Main Activities Work with site supervisor/project manager/independently to review building plans and specifications to determine the layout for all plumbing, heating and related NA a clean and safe working environment at all NA required tools and special NA the type and size of pipe required/specified on project drawings and NA and mark positions for connections and NA supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and NA and install valves and NA, repair and maintain water treatment equipment, piping and NA, repair and maintain underground waste and water piping NA, repair and maintain sinks, baths and NA, repair and maintain water heaters and NA, repair and maintain plumbing fixtures, appliances and NA pipe systems and fixtures for NA plant to industry and manufacturers NA all appropriate commissioning and testing documents and report to site supervisor/project manager upon completion of task for inspection. Maintain all building codes, installation requirements and relevant legislation Main Activities Apply all codes to installations, repairs and NA scheduled maintenance service on plumbing systems and NA all requirements as specified by the manufacturer of systems and fixtures are NA all installations, repairs and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported and NA all installations, repairs and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate NA all installations, repairs and maintenance meet environmental protectionEnsure appropriate RAMS have been carried out and adhered NA all staff members on site are carrying out all of the above unless site supervisor is present. Administer and schedule work All band #2 Heating/Biomass engineers are responsible for their time keeping and achieving targets set by the site supervisor or project manager and communicating any issues that may prevent the schedule being met. Knowledge All band #2 Heating/Biomass engineers must have proficient knowledge in the following areas: Evaluating and interpreting drawings and NA distribution and waste water disposal in residential, commercial and industrial NA networks including radiant panels, UFH, water to air NA building codes, legislation, regulations policies and procedures installation and NA understanding of construction materials to allow safe working and rule out damage to structure and building NA of safety issues and legal NA to assess requirements for contractor/end user and plan basic work schedule to complete tasks/objectives. Skills All band #2 Heating/Biomass engineers must demonstrate the following skills: Ability to communicate clearly and consistently with Contractor/End and internal NA to work cooperatively with other NA to work as part of a plumbing and heating engineering team or independently to complete tasks/NA to correctly and safely use all tools required for NA to assess and select/Purchase Order (PO) materials required to complete all tasks/NA thinking and creative problem solving NA decision making NA multi-tasking NA verbal, presentation, written and listening communications NA negotiation and mediation NA to work under pressure to achieve company targets.
