Summary We are currently searching for a dynamic and enthusiastic payroll specialist to join our Tesco Maintenance People Team. It's necessary to have had previous experience of a fast paced payroll environment and be able to work on your own initiative. Someone who can challenge our ways of working/ thinking but most importantly share our vision for delivering an exceptional level of support to our customers, colleagues, managers and leaders. There is the opportunity to stretch the role and add significant value through providing meaningful people data, therefore someone with an analytical interest would be ideal. Main Responsibilities Acting as the main point of contact with our payroll provider on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basisEnsuring the correct information is shared with our provider when processing the monthly payrollRunning and reviewing period reports in order to highlight any inputting errors from management/ colleagues, specifically in relation to absence, overtime, expenses, salary changes NA end of year tasks such as P11D's, P60's, NIC contributions NA auditors and providing the necessary information requiredEnsuring the Isle of Man payroll is processed on a monthly and yearly basisProcessing ADHOC payroll tasks such as CSA, DWP payments, car loan and mileage supplements, motoring finesAdministering the Company pension scheme, amending contributions, new starters, leavers, auto enrolmentProcessing HMRC and tax related documents, such as P45's and P46'sCreating and running monthly payroll reports in order to identify opportunities for improvementSupporting in the creation of monthly people KPI's to share with the wider people team and managersSupporting with developing and delivering the payroll plan, ensuring best practice and identifying areas for improved efficiencyFollowing our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence Ideal Candidate Understanding of payroll and payment procedures made via an outsourced providerKnowledge of HMRC issues and regulationsAwareness of data protection legislationFamiliarity with regulations around accurate file keepingMS Office and Outlook (Intermediate Excel or above)Payroll system knowledge (ADP would be an advantage)People Anaylst (able to produce people metrics/ KIPs)Organisational and planning/ prioritisation skillsCommunication skillsAccuracy and attention to detailGood numerical skills
