We design and manufacture high performance electric industrial motors from our brand new facility in Dartford, which houses one of the most advanced machine shops in the South East. We have made significant improvements in our production processes, and as a Production Operative, you will be part of further improvements to assist in developing a world class production area. What is the role? Day-to-day you will need to work as part of a team using lean manufacturing techniques. We have vacancies in the following areas; assembly and packing, stator building and rotor building across our different motor ranges. Typically you will be doing the following: Using detailed work instructionsOperating specialist machineryMaintaining a safe working environment in line with Health and Safety guidelinesFollowing guidelines for qualityReporting any issues or non-conformance promptly using the company communication structureTaking responsibility for the work you produce and pass onWorking on a range of motors as required by customer demandWorking to set time splits/standard work practicesIdentify improvements that have a direct impact on SQDCP KPIs (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People) Who are we looking for? To be successful in the role, ideally you would have previous manufacturing experience, GCSEs in Maths and English and the following competencies: Strong decision makerContinuous improvement mentalityDriven to achieve results, including targetsCommitment to your customerCo-operative attitude with strong interpersonal skillsCreative problem-solverDetail focussed, good at checking your own work This is a permanent role working full time on the following work pattern: Mon to Thurs 7:30AM to 4:15 PM, Fri 7:30AM to 12:30PM.
