My client is an innovator and a leading company in their field. They manufacture and maintain a range of automated machine systems, material handling equipment, flow systems, and containment systems for their clients predominantly in the medical and scientific industries. They are working exclusively with me to recruit a Field based Multi-skilled Engineer that has experience working with robotics. This role will see you take the lead as the FANUC robot specialist for the Service team and in between robotic repairs you will also assist as an electrical engineer on the machine systems listed above. Your role will be to deliver Planned Preventive Maintenance, Reactive Breakdown Repair, Installation and Commissioning of robotic cells and robotic arms supplied for the business at client sites. You will also be involved in training operators in the use of these robots and will complete basic PLC modifications and updates. The clients you will visit are UK based and the majority are within the Oxfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northants areas, however you will also need to travel to the north west and Scotland /Ireland on NA from home you will receive a work schedule each day and will travel across the UK to client sites, working on full service project life cycles and offering them the highest level of service. You would visit the companies local offices to restock on parts, attend meetings etc once or twice a month when needed. Ideally you will be an experienced Multi-skilled Service or Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical bias or be an Electrical engineer with some mechanical machine based experience that has had experience of maintaining and servicing robotic systemsKey Duties and Responsibilities Carry out Planned Preventive Maintenance, Reactive Breakdown and Repair work to the highest technical standard. Work with other team members on installation, commissioning and training projects. Update the electronic job management system according to agreed procedures. Ensure effective communication with customers Manage and maintain tools, parts and equipment Deliver a consistently high quality and accurate service driven by understanding the customers needs and expectations. Put forward ideas and assist in the development of standards and proceduresSkills needed Multi- skilled engineer or electrical engineer with some mechanical experienceExperience in the service and repair of Robotic cells and Robotic arms (FANUC or similar)Some basic PLC knowledge and experienceElectrical fault finding (wiring, sensors, single and 3 phase motors etc)Mechanical fault find (pumps, pipes, pneumatics etc)Reading following and interpreting Wiring drawings and diagramsExperience in the maintenance or repair of automated machinery16th/17th edition qualified or other electrical qualification or Electrical Apprenticeship trained In return our client offers and attractive package of 38,000 - 45,000 dependent on experience, with up to 12% in bonuses, , company van that you can also use personally, company credit card (fuel), uniform, mobile and laptop. 3% pension contributions (rising to 5.5% with 2 years service) and real opportunities to progress your career to a senior role. This is a days based office hours role, however a degree of flexibility is needed due to travel.
