Inventory / Materials Control Specialist JOB PURPOSE: |
Materials Management EU (MME) is the spares organisation that supports our Global Operations and Maintenance. Support is delivered in the form of, but not limited to, inventory management, stock replenishment, plants Single Point of Contact (SPOC), Bill of Materials (BoM) management, Logistical support, Plant Maintenance shut down, Materials control, setting up new plant stores. All aspects of materials management are controlled through SAP. Some European travel and working remotely may be required.
Specifically, responsibilities will include:
General data entry into and extraction from SAP
Analyse SAP data and co-ordinate mass data updates where required
Site visits to UK and European plants and warehouses (Potentially)
Ad-Hoc Inventory searches
Providing emergency breakdown support to the operations and maintenance teams
Monthly and Quarterly Report writing
Help to develop, track, monitor and automate (where possible) KPIs for the Materials team.
Getting involved in ad-hoc and planned projects Possess a CI mind-set
Providing general admin support to the Plant Support team.
ASSIGNMENT AND REVIEW OF WORK:
Work and/or Priorities will mostly be assigned through the MME Lead. Performance will be reviewed by the MME Lead in conjunction with the Production Manager.
Performance will be based on the quality of work done in support of the principle accountabilities, the quantity of work completed, and how the work was done. Typically, the quality and quantity of work will be assessed against a set of agreed performance objectives and measured against department KPIs.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Need good communication skills - you will be liaising with a wide range of people from all cultures and backgrounds
A degree level (or equivalent) background would be useful
Excellent report writing and analytical skill with an analytical mind-set
Ability to work independently
Excellent administrative skills, with attention to detail is crucial
Excellent use of Excel, Access and analytical tools plus generally good IT skills specifically:
1. SAP (Materials and Warehousing Module)
2. Excel Macros
3. Excel Pivot Tables
4. Access Databases utilising dynamic Link Libraries (DLLs)
Typically, candidates will have a minimum of 2 years€™ experience in a similar role.
