About the role
Reporting to the Superintendent Production A&I - Mine Surface, you will be part of a small and dedicated team focusing on the analysis, benchmarking and internal audit of the Production function's end to end performance. You will be charged with coordinating the identification and project management of improvement initiatives. Support business priorities for continuous improvement in line with business objectives, enabling functional excellence.
You will be establishing and maintaining effective working relationships which will allow you to prioritise the improvement programs and ensure your time and efforts are deployed efficiently. Above all else, you will demonstrate a proven ability to be part of a culture of high performance and a track record of focusing on effective delivery and strong accountability. You will be expected to challenge and drive continued improvement on safety, productivity, cost and capital initiatives.
You will be degree qualified in Mine Engineering or related, demonstrating strong technical and analytical skills and display a passion for continuous improvement through identification of innovative solutions. You will have extensive experience in surface mining with ideally some exposure to underground mining operations.
Please note this position is based at Olympic Dam, operating on a 5/2 roster arrangement, with residential or FIFO options available.
Olympic Dam is located approximately 10 kilometres from Roxby Downs, a community of 3,500 people with an active and progressive community network. Roxby Downs is home to a variety of modern, well equipped housing, educational, health, sporting, leisure, shopping and cultural facilities.
