Canadian division of a privately held global supplier and manufacturer of commercial, industrial electrical products has an immediate opening for an experienced Business Development Manager for its GTA/Georgian Bay Territory. This is a 12 month Maternity Leave with potential for permanent full time afterwards. As the Business Development Manager, you will work with our channel partner to provide continuous training and education for their teams to provide them with every tool they need for success. Further to this you will perform end user cold/sales calls and joint calls with our distribution chain to grow market share within this territory. You must find a successful balance between the two, creating lasting relationships at both our Distributor and End User customers will be your ultimate tool for success. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will be encouraged to learn your territory and set goals that will challenge you to perform. Periodic travel will also be required in this role, to our Canadian Head Office in Toronto, and our US Head Office. The successful candidate will match the following strengths and skills:Required:Minimum 2 years in progressive sales experience with qualified success managing a large territoryWorking knowledge and understanding of the basics of sales processesAbility to travel overnight when neccessaryUnderstanding of a TEAM environmentMicrosoft Office experiencePresentation ExperienceAbility to Effectively Communicate and Interface at all levelsThink outside the box attitudeDesire to grow and own your successValid Passport and Drivers License with ability to travel outside of Canada Compensation is competitive and based on proven NA salary, annual portfolio profit bonus, cell phone, laptop, company car & company benefits.
