SUMMARYReporting to the Manager of Accounts Receivable, the Bilingual Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for completing collections for all outstanding accounts due and performing customer account reconciliations. RESPONSIBILITIESMake collection calls and accurately document details;Apply professional judgement in order to identify risky balances and escalate to management appropriately;Ensure that accounts are collected within set time targets;Handle customer inquiries in a timely manner;Prepare weekly customer statements and/or invoice reprint requirements;Provide POD's upon request by customer to facilitate collection; andAccurately reconcile customer accounts on a timely basis and pursue correct follow-up action. QUALIFICATIONSMinimum two (2) years experience in Accounts Receivable;Fluent in English and French (oral & written);Post-secondary education in an accounting discipline is an asset;Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;Ability to work in a highly organized fashion with strict attention to detail;Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Excel & Word);Ability to meet deadlines and produce accurate results;Self-starter requiring limited supervision, along with a desire to work in a team environment; andFind and inform customers about unpaid accountsReceive and post payment to customer's accountAdvise and follow-up with customers on unpaid accountsInitiate repossession proceedings or disconnect serviceKeep records and status of customer's accountPrevious experience in billing, customer service, or other related fieldsAbility to build rapport with clientsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to prioritize and multitask
