Your new company |
In your new job as a Commercial Gas Engineer (service and maintenance) you will have the opportunity to work for one of the UK's leading property management organisations. This is a multi-site role based predominantly in the Newcastle / North Tyneside area. This job is part of a 25-year PFI contract.
Your new role
You will predominantly work as a Commercial & Domestic Gas Engineer doing service and maintenance work on a range of heating systems in sheltered housing and care homes. This role requires a reliable, hard working Commercial & Domestic Gas Engineer who thrives as part of a close-knit team.
As a multi-skilled role, it is desirable that you will have 17th Edition Wiring Regulations and/or Part P, so that you can carry out minor electrical maintenance and checks alongside a fully-qualified electrician. You will be expected to carry out small-scale general maintenance work where required, such as plastering, roof repairs and redecoration. Qualifications in these areas are not needed, just a willingness to learn as full training can be provided. If you have ever renovated your own home, you will have the 'additional maintenance skills' needed for this role.
What you'll need to succeed
You'll need to hold domestic and commercial gas tickets (training can be provided if one has recently expired) including CCN1, CEN-WAT1, HTR1, CKR1, CPA1, COCN1, CoDNCO1, TPCP1, CIGA1, CORT1.
As this is a multi-skilled role, it is desirable if you have electrical qualifications, however this is not essential - experience of minor electrical works is accepted and training can be provided.
Experience of general maintenance would be good, but this is not required to a high level. If you have ever carried out renovation works at home (such as painting, filling wall cracks etc.) then you have the skills needed here.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will get a salary of up to £35k, full PPE & uniform, company van, fuel card and the chance to work as part of a close team in a secure, 25-year PFI contract.
