Role Title: Regional Sales Manager

Reports to: Trade Operations Director

Location: London

Purpose, Context & Responsibilities


Develop in conjunction with the trade counter management team a sustainable strategy to grow sales and profitability of a specified branch or branches. Take overall responsibility for the management, development and achievement of targets within those regions.
• Represent the company and values of the business and portray a professional and business like image to all customers, potential customers and other people you meet in course of your work.
• Build an effective relationship with customers and maximise their potential
• Develop sales, profitability and growth of existing accounts in conjunction with the Branch Manager
• Ensure customer engagement is effected in accordance with M+W Core values and realises the business plan
• Identify market opportunities (new and existing) and implement strategy to deliver growth targets
• Promotion of company and objectives to relevant market sectors, customers, partners and suppliers
• Enhance company brand value to both internal and external audiences
• Work closely with the Marketing team in order to direct market research and support focused marketing activities
• Manage client entertaining activities with Trade Operations Director and General Manager
• Identify and engage with target customers whose investment plans are aligned with our own and who share common values
• Develop new business and grow their sales and profitably and report progress to the Trade Operations Director
• Provide market intelligence and observe competitor activity through their pricing policy, product range development and competitive threats and report to the Trade Operations Director
• Plan efficiently the use of branch resource to service customer requirements
• Provide technical support for both products and procedures for customers and staff
• Be responsible for ensuring customer quotations are processed commercially and effectively

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications


• Worked in an external sales environment
• Have sound product and commercial knowledge of the air movement industry
• Qualifications in air movement design
• Be conversant with industry and product standards
• Ability to work unsupervised
• The ability to engage and retain customers
• Good communication skills when identifying problems and presenting solutions
• Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, email applications, PDF management and CRM uploading
• The ability to plan and meet targets
• Full UK driving licence

Highly Desirable (but not essential)

• Previously worked in our industry with existing contact base
• Having worked in a sales environment (especially distribution)
• Marketing experience
• Ability to prepare statistics and reports
