My client, who offer a range of specialist services throughout the UK and Ireland construction industry including comprehensive investigation, consultancy, laboratory analysis and structural design service, are looking for a Site Supervisor to join their Leicester based team on a full time, permanent basis working Monday - Friday 06.00/07.00 - 16.00/17.00 as standard, paying up to £22,000.

You must hold a full valid UK driving licence and be happy to work away from home as required and occasionally work nights and weekends when necessary (to be paid at 15%-65% extra depending on the circumstance).

You will be based at their Leicester location, working on sites around the UK and your duties will include:
- Specialist sampling and testing as required on bridges, buildings, roads, rail, car parks and water industry assets
- Management of technicians (a team of two others) on a day to day basis, including time keeping, discipline and health and safety etc
- Ensuring the use of only specified Test and Sampling procedures on site
- Ensuring the accurate and up-to-date keeping of test records
- Training employees as required
- Assisting Projects Coordinator as required
- Preparing equipment for calibration by external organisations
- Producing and recording clients' changes/instructions
- Managing vehicle maintenance and service
- Maintaining stock control for materials and core barrels etc
- Assisting the ops manager as required

To be successful you MUST:
- Have working experience in construction, ideally experience of working on highways/bridges
- Be experienced in the techniques used for the testing of pavement and structures
- Have experience of structures testing/bridge testing
- Have a current and valid CSCS card
- Have excellent communication skills including written skills
- Be observant and meticulous
- Have a good understanding of health and safety on site
- Have the proven ability to supervise others on site
- Have the proven ability to liaise with managers, team members and site representatives
- Be physically fit
- Be flexible to work additional and unsociable hours as required, including working away from home
- Be able to work safely from heights
- Hold a full valid UK driving licence
